The creators of Netflix’s sports docuseries told RadioTimes.com in an exclusive interview why they didn’t ask Kris Jenner to be a part of the episode. <\/p>
Those who\u2019ve seen Caitlyn Jenner\u2019s episode of Untold<\/a>, Netflix\u2019s sports docuseries, will know that it features interviews with a number of interesting figures from TV personality and the former Olympian\u2019s life. However, Caitlyn\u2019s ex-wife Kris Jenner, step-children Kourtney, Kim and Khlo\u00e9 Kardashian and her children Kendall and Kylie Jenner are all notably absent.<\/p>\n The creators of the episode, filmmaker brothers Chapman and Maclain Way, explained why they didn\u2019t ask the Kardashians to take part in the documentary in an exclusive interview with\u00a0RadioTimes.com<\/a>,<\/strong> revealing that they chose to focus on Caitlyn\u2019s early life.<\/p>\n \u201cWe decided to mainly focus on Caitlin\u2019s first marriage and family with Chrystie [Scott] and then there\u2019s some of Burt [Jenner, Caitlyn\u2019s son],\u201d Chapman said.<\/p>\n \u201cIt wasn\u2019t totally a decision like, \u2018We didn\u2019t want to reach out to the Kardashians,\u2019 but after interviewing Burt and Chrystie, we felt like, let\u2019s focus on this kind of family unit and the best way to support this story.\u201d<\/p> Maclain added that speaking to a number of people from Caitlyn\u2019s past really helped to make the film as \u201cintimate\u201d as possible.<\/p>\n \u201cWe obviously have Caitlin\u2019s ex wife Chrystie and Caitlin\u2019s former training partner Vince Stryker in the film that add colour in a way.
