“He’s very angry with Lisa.” <\/p>
Danny Walters says that his EastEnders<\/a> alter ego, Keanu Taylor, will be furious when he learns of Lisa Fowler\u2019s (Lucy Benjamin) true motives.<\/p>\n Lisa has returned to Walford with Keanu\u2019s young daughter Peggy<\/a>, who he fathered with Lisa and Phil Mitchell\u2019s (Steve McFadden) daughter Louise (Tilly Keeper). Keanu cheated on Louise with his current fianc\u00e9 Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), so Lisa played on his guilt to extort money out of Keanu in exchange for access to Peggy.<\/p>\n But next week, Lisa\u2019s gambling problem will be exposed<\/a>, and speaking to RadioTimes.com<\/a> and other media, Walters reveals how Keanu feels after learning the truth.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was quite interesting, because there [were] two ways of playing it. Even though Keanu is emotional\u2013 he\u2019s very emotional and he wears his heart on his sleeve, but I think he is also a guy of principle, and he has a very good moral compass.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd I think the fact that someone had done that to him, to use that against his daughter, for an ulterior motive, I think that\u2019s very\u2026 that goes against Keanu, his moral compass, I think so,\u201d admits the actor. \u201cHe\u2019s really upset, and he\u2019s very angry with Lisa, the fact that she used Peggy as collateral damage for her own issues, really.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cLisa [has been] blackmailing Keanu, and so she\u2019s using Peggy as collateral really and to get into Keanu\u2019s emotional\u2026Keanu, being led by emotions, [was] really in a bit of a predicament whether he [paid] to see his daughter again.\u201d<\/p>\n We\u2019ll have to wait and see how the fallout of Lisa\u2019s actions plays out on-screen. And while we could be forgiven for thinking that, where Lisa is concerned, Keanu may actually be united with Phil for once, Walters knows that Keanu has surely burned all his bridges with Mr Mitchell.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p> \u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cPhil and Keanu\u2019s relationship is very much, it\u2019s always on a knife edge,\u201d he points out. \u201cThere\u2019s always, it\u2019s a very delicate relationship between the two characters where we know how dangerous Phil is, we know how emotional Keanu can get sometimes. So their relationship is never going to be, it\u2019s never going to be an amicable one. But it\u2019s a lot of subtext. There\u2019s a lot of things that are happening with the characters.\u201d<\/p>\n Having said that, the actor notes that Keanu\u2019s stance has changed since his return. \u201cBut it\u2019s been different this time around working with [Steve], because my character has changed over the years, and came back to the Square. And I think the way I now play Keanu is, Sharon is his partner, and they have a child together.\u201d<\/p>\n Whatever the dynamic between Phil and Keanu, Walters always loves working with co-star McFadden. \u201cI\u2019ve always admired Steve\u2019s work. I think he\u2019s incredible. I personally\u2013 I adore Steve, I love working with Steve. I\u2019d love the characters to be like a father\/son relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n Naturally, though, the star isn\u2019t holding out much hope there!
