Galadriel star Morfydd Clark has said she “really loved the conversation” around the show, whether positive or negative. <\/p>

When The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power<\/a> first dropped on Prime Video<\/a> last year, it was met with all sorts of responses, including fans who were highly critical of the prequel series.<\/p>\n

While some involved with the Prime Video series may have been phased by the negative reactions, Galadriel star Morfydd Clark has now opened up about them, and said she\u2019s found the critical conversation \u201cinteresting\u201d.<\/p>\n

She told Den of Geek<\/a>: \u201cI think you create art for it to be critiqued. It doesn\u2019t really exist as a piece of art if it\u2019s not there to be looked at and discussed. I\u2019ve been in a few horror films, and I\u2019ve really loved the conversation about that. I think it\u2019s kind of the same with fantasy, it taps into different parts of different people.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo it\u2019s been really interesting, actually. My sister\u2019s very online and sends me the bits that she thinks I\u2019ll find really interesting about people\u2019s discussions of what they got from [The Rings of Power].\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Clark was clear that this did not extend to those who were trolling the show\u2019s cast<\/a>, saying: \u201cI do think there is a big difference between critique and abusing people. I\u2019m really proud that the show is cast the way it is and that there\u2019s diversity in our cast. And it\u2019s been wonderful now to have people critiquing it as a piece of art.\u201d<\/p>\n
