Change is in the air at Chelsea as the Blues bid to bounce back from their worst Premier League season in a generation.<\/p>\n
Chaos reigned at Stamford Bridge in the 2022\/23 campaign as hordes of new players arrived for massive fees and three different managers graced the dugout, so the fresh start offered by pre-season could be just the tonic.<\/p>\n
Former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is back in the Premier League after being appointed as Frank Lampard\u2019s successor. A number of senior figures including Kai Havertz, N\u2019Golo Kante and Mason Mount have left for new pastures, while attacking reinforcements have arrived in the form of Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku.<\/p>\n
After a couple of weeks hard graft on the training pitches at the club\u2019s Cobham HQ, Pochettino will take his new team Stateside for a five-game pre-season jaunt that includes Summer Series friendlies against Premier League rivals Brighton, Newcastle and Fulham.<\/p>\n
Chelsea\u2019s tour starts with a fixture against League Two outfit Wrexham \u2013 backed by Hollywood duo Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney \u2013 and concludes with a glamour tie against German giants Borussia Dortmund, just a week before the real action gets underway.<\/p>\n
It is, arguably, the most important pre-season in Chelsea\u2019s recent history and Pochettino will be eager to get his new players up to speed in time for their Premier League opener against Liverpool.<\/p>\n
