The latest entry in the Mission: Impossible franchise is now in cinemas, with the Tom Cruise-led action movie continuing to drum up excitement.<\/p>\n

While Angela Bassett had to drop out of Mission: Impossible \u2013 Dead Reckoning Part 1<\/a> due to Covid-19 travel restrictions at the time of filming, it seems as though the filmmakers are keen for Bassett to make a return as Erika Sloane.<\/p>\n

Director Chris McQuarrie spoke to Variety on the red carpet of the movie\u2019s premiere and teased: \u201cIt\u2019s interesting, she was going to be the head of the CIA, she was going to be in that room with all the other heads of the intelligence community that you meet.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cAnd we\u2019re not done with Angela Bassett.\u201d<\/p>\n
