The first reviews are in for the Christopher Nolan-directed movie and fans and critics alike are calling it “an immense achievement”. <\/p>

Alongside Greta Gerwig\u2019s Barbie<\/a>, Christopher Nolan\u2019s latest, Oppenheimer<\/a>, is one of the most talked about films of 2023 and its first reactions are in.<\/p>\n

Directed by Christopher Nolan \u2013 who brought the world the Batman Dark Knight trilogy, Dunkirk, Tenet, and many others \u2013 the movie stars<\/a> Cillian Murphy alongside a strong supporting cast including Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr and Florence Pugh to name a few.<\/p>\n

Based on Kai Bird and Martin Sherwin\u2019s book, American Prometheus, Nolan writes and directs the film about the creation of the atomic bomb. Due to its heavy subject matter and serious nature (and same release date), you\u2019ve probably seen all of the \u2018Barbenheimer<\/a>\u2019 memes online about watching this and the bright pink film one after the other.<\/p>\n

Now it\u2019s getting closer to its official release on Friday, 21st July, you\u2019ve got to make your mind up about what to see first. Luckily, the Oppenheimer first reactions are in to help you decide, and they\u2019re full of praise for Nolan\u2019s latest.<\/p>

\u201cI saw #Oppenheimer last week and it\u2019s a total BLAST!\u201d states one Twitter user lucky enough to catch the film early, adding that \u201cCillian Murphy is amazing as Oppenheimer and Matt Damon is great as always, but the real standout is Downer Jr as Strauss.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another claims it to be their \u201cfilm of the year\u201d and adds that \u201cChristopher Nolan makes 3 hours fly in stunning form. Cillian Murphy and Robert Downey Jr are incredibly strong. The story is chilling in the tragic sense of World War II\u2019s lack of humanity and on intimate human levels. Stunning and scary.\u201d<\/p>\n

OPPENHEIMER is…incredible.
