The Great has finally returned to UK screens for its third outing and star Gwilym Lee, who plays Peter\u2019s closest confidant Grigor, has said it \u201c<\/span>totally felt like a different season\u201d when he first read the scripts.<\/p>\n \u201cSeason 2 ends with Katherine trying to kill her husband but quite awkwardly, she kills his doppelg\u00e4nger, <\/span>which Peter witnesses, so that\u2019s quite a tricky thing to come back from,\u201d he explained to RadioTimes.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd it\u2019s fun seeing them explore their relationship, how to bring that back because what they realise is ultimately, through all the highs and lows they\u2019ve been through, they love each other.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd to begin with, Grigor finds that unbearable and impossible to believe. But his journey through this season is accepting that actually, his best friend does love Catherine and actually, he needs to get behind that, and he does support him, so it\u2019s a very emotional season. It\u2019s a very human, heartfelt, poignant season, whereas previous seasons have been about politics and religion and society at that time.\u201d<\/p>
