The new series<\/a>, which kicked off on BBC One on Monday (17th July), dramatises the brutal murder of <\/span>Peter Farquhar and defrauding of Ann Moore-Martin by former churchwarden Ben Field<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n But it\u2019s not just the chilling premise that has captured viewers\u2019 attention, but also the striking backdrop to the tale.<\/span><\/p>\n The show is set in Maids Moreton, Buckinghamshire, where Field (<\/span>\u00c9anna Hardwicke) <\/span>struck up a relationship with Peter <\/span>(<\/span>Timothy Spall) and Ann <\/span>(Anne Reid) b<\/span>efore gaslighting and conning them out of their money, and murdering Peter in 2015.<\/span><\/p>\n However, the principal filming for the series took place in an entirely different location. <\/span>Read on for everything you need to know about where The Sixth Commandment<\/a> was filmed.<\/span><\/p>\n Filming for The Sixth Commandment<\/a> took place primarily in Bristol, with scenes shot in and around <\/span>Blaise Estate, Flax Bourton Mortuary, South Bristol Crematorium, Portland Square, and St Anne\u2019s House.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Scenes were also filmed in the suburb of Westbury on Trym in the city, while further filming on the series took place in locations including <\/span>Keynsham, Clevedon and Bath.<\/span><\/p>\n Locations were scouted by Bristol\u2019s Film Office, according to Bristol Post<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n The Sixth Commandment is set in Maids Moreton, Buckinghamshire, where Field preyed upon <\/span>Peter and was eventually convicted of his murder.<\/span><\/p>\n There are four episodes of The Sixth Commandment altogether.<\/span><\/p>\n The first episode aired on BBC One at 9pm on Monday 17th July.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The second is set to air on Tuesday 18th July at the same time, while the final two instalments will air on Monday and Tuesday the following week.<\/span><\/p>\n The Sixth Commandment airs on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
