Things got awkward in last night\u2019s episode, as the Islanders played a game that saw them choose the fakest and least compatible contestants, and things got fiery between Mitchel Taylor<\/a> and Scott van-der-Sluis<\/a> in yet another explosive row.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n If you missed all the action, then don\u2019t worry \u2013 RadioTimes.com<\/a> has you covered with our handy recap video.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Read on to find out everything that happened in episode 46 of Love Island. <\/span><\/p>\n After getting a text to say they would be taking part in a challenge called Couple Goals, things got very heated between a few of the contestants.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Viewers\u2019 mouths were left hanging open as Scott confronted rival Mitch during the tense challenge, where the Islanders were tasked with picking who amongst them were fakest, smuggest and least compatible.<\/span><\/p>\n When it was his turn, Scott branded Mitch and his current partner Ella Barnes<\/a>\u2018 relationship as \u201cfake\u201d, and claimed the gas engineer wanted to rekindle his romance with his former partner, Abi Moores<\/a> \u2013 who Scott is currently coupled up with.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI feel like when I spoke to Ella, she didn\u2019t describe Mitch when she said what her type was,\u201d said the Welsh footballer, before adding: \u201cAnd let\u2019s face it, Mitch has tried to get to know every bombshell that\u2019s walked through the door.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n While Mitch protested, Scott wasn\u2019t quite finished!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThe only reason none of us wanted to get to know Abi was because we felt sorry for you, you\u2019d been single for three weeks,\u201d he clapped back.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n And after being branded fake himself by Mitch, Scott had yet more shots to fire. \u201cWhat was it, three days ago when you said you wanted Abi back in the boy\u2019s bedroom?\u201d Eek!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Also in the firing line was Zachariah Noble<\/a> and Molly Marsh<\/a>, who were chosen by all the other couples as the most unlikely pairing \u2013 even voting for themselves!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n While it may seem like an odd move, the pair explained that they understood the long distance nature of their relationship may impact it in the future, as Molly lives in Doncaster while Zach hails from South London.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n However, Zach said: \u201cYeah look, I need to give you lot a science lesson, we all know that opposites attract for a reason.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Molly added: \u201cWe know we\u2019re worlds apart but it just works and I\u2019m very happy and I wouldn\u2019t change it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Viewers were also perturbed by a comment made by Jess Harding<\/a> after the challenge as she chatted to flight attendant Abi.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Still on cloud nine after her kiss with Scott on the terrace the night before, Abi had a morning catch up with the aesthetics practitioner.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cDid you notice the PDA with me and Scott?\u201d she asked.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n And referencing Scott\u2019s previous partner Catherine Agbaje<\/a> \u2013 who he was happily coupled up with before Casa Amour, when she returned with Elom Ahlijah-Wilson \u2013 Jess replied: \u201cThat\u2019s nice because he wasn\u2019t like that with Catherine at all.\u201d Jess, have you been in a different series to us?!<\/span><\/p>\n It wasn\u2019t just the romantic couples who were having drama, though, as friends Whitney Adebayo<\/a> and Ella Thomas<\/a> also had an explosive row \u2013 where Whit branded the Scottish model as \u201cselfish\u201d!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n What started as a silly argument over Ella queue-jumping to use the one shower in the villa \u2013 despite Whitney saying she had been waiting to use the bathroom next \u2013 ended in tears as the pals exchanged cross words.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI have never met a selfish person like you,\u201d Whitney later told her.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n And while Ella was quick to interject by saying: \u201cThat is the biggest lie I\u2019ve ever heard\u201d, a stern Whitney reminded her: \u201cYou know I only tell the truth.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cYou actually think you\u2019re family the way you speak to me and it\u2019s not okay,\u201d Ella angrily replied.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n As the evening progressed, the pair addressed the tension between them \u2013 but seemingly got nowhere!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Ella said: \u201cI want to get this off my chest because I don\u2019t want to give it energy, but it actually upset me when you called me selfish in the dressing room.<\/span><\/p> \u201cIt really upset me because I wouldn\u2019t speak to my friend like that. I feel like that was coming for my character.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n But refusing to back down, Whitney responded: \u201cI wasn\u2019t joking Ella. Sometimes you do have selfish tendencies.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In a teaser for tonight\u2019s episode, it seems that the drama between the pair is far from over, as Ella became emotional when chatting to Molly and Jess.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cMy conversation, it really showed me that you don\u2019t actually like me, do you know what I mean?\u201d she told them of Whitney.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Will their friendship be restored?
