The long trend of nice-looking Mickey Mouse video games looks set to continue with Disney Illusion Island \u2013 and this time, he\u2019s brought his mates along for the 2D platforming adventure, which is set to release very soon indeed.<\/p>\n

Join Mickey, Minnie, Donald Duck and Goofy as they attempt to save the magical island of Monoth, exclusively on Nintendo Switch.<\/p>\n

With co-op gameplay and a cartoony art style that\u2019s hugely reminiscent of the fantastic Rayman Origins and Legends games, this one\u2019s sure to be a delight.<\/p>\n

The Disney Illusion Island release time for those who have pre-ordered should be midnight as soon as it turns to 28th July. If not, the software to go live on the eShop from 2pm UK time or 5pm UK time.<\/p>\n

As far as we\u2019re aware, Disney Illusion Island is a Nintendo Switch exclusive.<\/p>\n

This makes sense to us, with the Switch being primarily a family friendly console. Epic Mickey was a blast on the Wii, and we hope Disney Illusion Island is just as much fun for this generation!<\/p>\n

Disney Illusion Island gameplay and story details<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Interestingly, Disney Illusion Island looks to be a take on the a metroidvania genre. It\u2019s a two-dimensional platformer with plenty of exploration, so we expect multiple mazes and maps in this magical world. The trailer shows a variety of different moves, from your typical run and jump to flying with an umbrella \u00e0 la Mary Poppins.<\/p>\n

And speaking of the magical world, Mickey and his friends are in a land called Monoth. It looks just as colourful and zany as you\u2019d expect, and it needs saving \u201ca thousand evils\u201d according to the trailer. Speaking of which\u2026<\/p>\n
