Outlander has paid homage to the late Sin\u00e9ad O\u2019Connor, who had collaborated with the fantasy drama<\/a> to perform its famous theme song.<\/p>\n It was reported on Wednesday (July 26th) that the iconic Irish singer had died at the age of 56. The star had given an haunting rendition of the theme song The Skye Boat Song for season 7.<\/p>\n Executive producer Maril Davis shared a black and white image of O\u2019Connor along with her tribute on Twitter, which read: \u201cOn behalf of the entire cast &crew of Outlander we are deeply saddened about the news of Sinead\u2019s passing. She was an incredible talent &working with her on this season\u2019s main title song was a true honour. Our thoughts are with her family during this difficult time.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Outlander\u2019s official Twitter account added the message: \u201cThank you for lending us your voice, Sin\u00e9ad.\u201d<\/p>\n Caitr\u00edona Balfe, who plays Claire Fraser in the hit series, also shared a tribute to O\u2019Connor on Instagram<\/a> with a classic photo of the star, along with the post: \u201cI hope you are at peace \u2026 and with your baby boy.
