Catherine Tate is reprising her popular role in the 60th anniversary \u2013\u00a0but could she be set for tragedy? <\/p>
The return of Catherine Tate as Donna Noble in the upcoming Doctor Who 60th-anniversary specials has long been cause for celebration among Whovians \u2013 but some fans are fearing the worst after the latest hint by showrunner Russell T Davies.<\/p>\n
Responding to an Instagram post<\/a> from the official\u00a0Doctor Who<\/a> account teasing \u201cDoctor, danger, dancing, Donna\u201d in the specials, Davies commented with another word beginning with the letter D: \u201cDisaster.\u201d<\/p>\n This follows on from statements he made earlier in the year<\/a>, when he said that \u201cterrible things\u201d were in store for Donna in the future \u2013 and so it certainly looks like something tragic could well be on the cards.<\/p> And one fan of the show has put forward a theory outlining what he thinks could be set to happen, writing on Twitter: \u201cIs Russell really going to kill Donna in the 60th specials and have the 15th Doctor visit her grave in the Christmas Special?\u201d<\/p>\n Alongside the Tweet, he posted two images \u2013 a screenshot of Davies\u2019s aforementioned Instagram comment, and a promotional still of Ncuti Gatwa\u2019s Fifteenth Doctor from the upcoming Christmas special.<\/p>\n Is Russell really going to kill Donna in the 60th specials and have the 15th Doctor visit her grave in the Christmas Special?! \ud83d\udc80\ud83e\udd7a#doctorwho<\/a> #drwho<\/a> pic.twitter.com\/s4IfJYjbir<\/a><\/p>\u2014 Jack | Nerd Den (@nerddenreal) July 30, 2023<\/a><\/blockquote>
