Subspace Rhapsody is a first for Star Trek. <\/p>
This interview took place prior to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n It was bound to happen at some point and, sure enough, fans have been left delighted by the Strange New Worlds<\/a> musical episode (which, by the way, does not betray the tradition of Star Trek<\/a>).<\/p>\n Before it was released, the show\u2019s stars frequently mentioned episode 9 as a favourite \u2013 and now viewers can see why.<\/p>\n However, it took a lot of work behind-the-scenes to get it just right.<\/p>\n Speaking exclusively to RadioTimes.com<\/a>, Anson Mount (Christopher Pike) explained: \u201cThe great thing about working with [showrunner] Akiva Goldsman is he is not afraid to fail.<\/p>\n \u201cHe rarely does, but he is so ready to take big risks \u2013 and when you\u2019re doing a show like ours, it\u2019s hard to explain how much fun it is that you almost feel like you\u2019re making a different TV show with every episode, the way that we\u2019re trying to really expand what Trek can be.<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cIt keeps you on your toes.
