That trend will continue with Captain America: Brave New World<\/a>, which sees Samuel Sterns aka The Leader (Tim Blake Nelson) re-emerge, after being set up as a threat in The Incredible Hulk.<\/p>\n As Marvel Studios leans on his film more heavily than ever, ComicBook.com<\/a> asked Leterrier what his initial plans for a Hulk sequel looked like \u2013 and he was surprisingly candid.<\/p> \u201cThere was a whole sequel [in the works],\u201d he explained. \u201cThere was Grey Hulk, Red Hulks \u2014 there was a lot of good stuff that we were planning.\u201d<\/p>\n In the comics, Grey Hulk is an alternate persona fighting for control of Bruce Banner\u2019s body, who lacks the physical strength of the \u201cgreen guy\u201d, but boasts greater intelligence and reasoning \u2013 not entirely unlike Endgame\u2019s Smart Hulk.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Red Hulk<\/a> is an evolution of General Ross, who is heavily rumoured to be introduced in Captain America: Brave New World (with Harrison Ford replacing the late Hurt).<\/p>\n \u201cHulk is a complex character within the Marvel Universe,\u201d Letterier explained. \u201cYou want the primeval Hulk\u2026 the rage Hulk. And then when you go Grey Hulk and Smart Hulk, you lose that a little bit and you get a little bit more kiddish with it.
