In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>, Chow revealed that McGregor pitched some ideas for Obi-Wan Kenobi season 2 almost as soon as they wrapped filming the first season.<\/p>\n When asked whether the pair had mulled over any season 2 ideas, Chow said: \u201cYou always think you\u2019re going to end a series like this in some magnificent way, but instead you end up in a parking lot with second unit and hardly anybody there.\u201d<\/p>\n She continued: \u201cIt\u2019s always so anti\u00adclimactic, but as Ewan and I finished our very last shot on second unit and I was literally taking off my headphones, he was already pitching me ideas for season two. There\u2019s another 10 years with plenty of stories, and I don\u2019t think it\u2019s off the board.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is a \u2018never say never\u2019 situation, but we really did conceive this to be a limited series.\u201d<\/p> The series first arrived on Disney Plus back in 2022 and was initially set to explore a specific period in Obi-Wan\u2019s life, between the Star Wars prequel films and the original trilogy.<\/p>\n But as the series aired, there was growing potential for more avenues to be explored in the series.<\/p>\n It\u2019s safe to say that Obi-Wan star McGregor would be keen for more, previously saying of his role: \u201cI hope it\u2019s not the last time I play him. I had such a great time doing this. I\u2019m sure we can think of a few more stories before I turn into Alec Guinness, don\u2019t you think?\u201d<\/p>\n Read more:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Even so, Star Wars boss Kathleen Kennedy told Entertainment Weekly\u2019s Dagobah Dispatch podcast<\/a>: \u201cI always hesitate to say, \u2018No we won\u2019t do anything more with Obi-Wan Kenobi.’\u201d<\/p>\n She echoed the same sentiments as director Chow, by stating: \u201cMaybe what we end up doing is something that gets incorporated into some of the other stories we\u2019re doing, or eventually into a movie \u2013 who knows? But right now, it\u2019s still our stand-alone limited series.
