If you\u2019re a Disney Plus<\/a> subscriber in the UK, you might by this point have a routine in place for when a new Marvel<\/a> or Star Wars<\/a> series drops \u2013 but get ready to rip that up and start over.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s because the streaming service is changing its release strategy for The Mandalorian<\/a> spin-off Ahsoka, which will be releasing episodes at a different time to previous original offerings.<\/p>\n

The much-hyped series sees Rosario Dawson return to the role of outcast Jedi Ahsoka Tano, who has been on quite the journey since her debut during the brutal days of the Clone Wars<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Here, we catch up with her between the events of Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens, as dark forces are stirring that are seemingly destined to form the horrifying First Order out of the Empire\u2019s ashes.<\/p>\n

Ahsoka will launch in the UK at 2am (BST) <\/strong>on Wednesday 23rd August 2023<\/strong> on Disney Plus<\/a>, meaning you\u2019ll have to brace yourself for a late night if you want to be among the first to see the opening double bill.<\/p>\n

This might be a tough pill to swallow as we\u2019ve been spoiled by preceding Marvel and Star Wars offerings, which have premiered at the much more reasonable time of 8am in the UK.<\/p>\n

Things are getting easier, however, for our friends across the pond, who have been dealing with such late-night launches since Disney Plus launched \u2013 but will be enjoying Ahsoka from\u00a06pm (PT)\u00a0and\u00a09pm (ET).<\/p>\n

Why is Ahsoka launching at a different time?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Disney Plus has not stated an official reason why they are changing release times for Ahsoka, but it\u2019s likely to win over North American audiences, with the United States being the service\u2019s most-subscribed country besides India.<\/p>\n

However, Star Wars is believed to be nowhere near as popular in India<\/a> as it is in the US, so it makes sense that Disney would prioritise where the greatest number of avid fans can be found.<\/p>\n

Ahsoka is another expensive project for the platform, so it\u2019s important that it performs strongly to justify that considerable investment.<\/p>\n

This is particularly true following Marvel\u2019s Secret Invasion<\/a>, which reportedly cost more than $200 million to produce<\/a>, but was panned by critics<\/a> and failed to light up the Nielsen-monitored streaming charts<\/a>.<\/p>
