The actor answered some fan questions during an Instagram Live, hinting at a darker season 13. <\/p>
Fans of Death in Paradise<\/a> still have a while to go before the tropical murder mystery returns to our screens.<\/p>\n Luckily, star Ralf Little is keeping them updated on Instagram with behind-the-scenes content and tidbits of what to expect for DI Neville Parker and the rest of the gang.<\/p>\n Little recently posted an Instagram Q&A<\/a> from St Lucia. The actor was getting ready to fly to Guadeloupe to continue filming season 13 and decided to answer some fans\u2019 questions, including when the show will return and what\u2019s in store for the cast<\/a>.<\/p> We suspected the show would return in January 2024 as usual, preceded by a Christmas special. Little confirmed this, suggesting 7th January as episode 1\u2019s air date.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re going to try and pick up with the tone [from] the end of last year,\u201d Little added. \u201cWe really tried to push the boat out with series 12 with not just a mystery every week, and just solving the mystery and moving on, but over the course of the series really trying to find challenges for the main characters. There\u2019s going to be more challenges for the characters.\u201d<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong><\/p>\n The move comes following the darker turn season 12 took, with Neville being framed and even going through a stint in prison.<\/p>\n \u201cWe took a bit of a leap with that last year and it worked out really well and people enjoyed it,\u201d Little said, before suggesting there would be more things for the characters to overcome.<\/p> \n
