Could intergalactic assassin Doom be headed for a live-action appearance? <\/p>
We don\u2019t have too much longer to wait for Doctor Who<\/a>\u2018s 60th anniversary episodes to finally arrive, introducing fans to David Tennant\u2019s re-imagined Time Lord.<\/p>\n The closer to the air date we get, the more exciting news is revealed. Russell T Davies recently warned viewers<\/a> that the third and final episode wouldn\u2019t be as fun as its title \u2013 The Giggle \u2013 suggests.<\/p>\n Before that, it was announced that a massive cross-platform event titled Doom\u2019s Day would take place across the Doctor Who comics, audio, video games and more \u2013 centring on intergalactic assassin Doom (played by Sooz Kempner).<\/p>\n Now, fans believe they have found a connection between the two, hinting at a potential TV appearance for Doom as well.<\/p> X, formerly Twitter, user @tigfore<\/a> shared an excerpt from recently released Doom\u2019s Day novel, Extraction Point by MG Harris<\/a>, that contains the following quote: \u201cHiring an assassin another component of Stalgon\u2019s twisted endgame? It wouldn\u2019t be the first she\u2019d been hired \u2018for a giggle\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n Does this mean Doom is headed for an appearance in the upcoming 60th anniversary specials?<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong><\/p>\n It certainly seems like a possibility, though Kempner has yet to be confirmed as part of the cast. We do know her Doom\u2019s Day arc will see her travel through all of time and space to find the Doctor in order to save her from literal Death.<\/p>\n With only 24 hours and a vortex manipulator to save herself, the odds are stacked against her. And, it would seem, against Tennant\u2019s Doctor and companion Donna Noble (Catherine Tate<\/a>), who appear to be headed for devastation in The Giggle, whether or not Doom is in it.<\/p>\n \u201cDoctor, danger, dancing, Donna\u2026 and disaster,\u201d Davies teased.<\/p> \n
