Ambridge is full of love at the moment, and two people who are deeply in their romance era are Tracy Horrobin and Jazzer McCreary.<\/p>\n

Radio Times magazine<\/strong> caught up with Susie Riddell (45) and Ryan Kelly (48) to find out all about their characters\u2019 second chance at love on The Archers.<\/p>\n

As a recap, Tracy is the mother of Chelsea and Brad and a member of the Bull\u2019s bar staff, while Jazzer is a pig tender at Berrow Farm.<\/p>

Tell us about Tracy and Jazzer.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Susie:<\/strong> Well, they\u2019re fab!<\/p>\n

Ryan:<\/strong> Jazzer is a reformed bad boy. Early on, he was stealing cars. I love the idea of being a blind car thief! [The actor has been blind since birth.] He\u2019s a kind of laughter-maker. Tracy is the same.<\/p>\n

Susie:<\/strong> They bring comedy and light and joy to the show but, with their relationship, the characters have become more in-depth. Both of their lives have been full of quite intense challenges. That means they\u2019re up for anything.<\/p>\n

Where does the chemistry lie?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Susie:<\/strong> They both like to have fun and laugh. Having a shared sense of humour is a major boon to their relationship. They\u2019re both quite self-assured and not afraid.<\/p>\n

Ryan:<\/strong> They\u2019re not bothered about what the neighbours think.<\/p>\n

Susie:<\/strong> Yes, I always describe Tracy as having no filter, and I think Jazzer\u2019s the same.<\/p>\n

Ryan:<\/strong> The only thing that has made those two mellow is age. And they\u2019ve not mellowed that much!<\/p>\n

Susie:<\/strong> I remember, in our first proper scenes, there was an argument that really kicked off the relationship. But when I saw the way Jazzer and Tracy butted up against each other, I thought, \u201cHmm, yes, I think they might get together one day.\u201d<\/p>\n

In real life, do you have other halves who make you laugh?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Susie:<\/strong> Yes, definitely. That\u2019s the first thing I\u2019d say about my husband \u2013 he really makes me laugh. When I\u2019ve been doing argument scenes with Ryan, it feels like I\u2019m having a row with my real-life husband.<\/p>\n

Ryan:<\/strong> I make my wife mad when she doesn\u2019t want to laugh. But I can make her laugh usually.<\/p>\n

Susie:<\/strong> That\u2019s true in the green room as well. Ryan is an extremely astute reader of mood. He\u2019s very good at lightening it.<\/p>\n

Are Brad and Jazzer similar?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Susie:<\/strong> No, but they\u2019re both very sweet. Jazzer has come into the family as an older brother\/step-father figure who doesn\u2019t overstep the mark. It\u2019s lovely for a step-parent to be shown that way, rather than as a negative change.<\/p>\n

So you rate their chances?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Susie:<\/strong> Oh yes, definitely. It\u2019s been a bit up and down, but essentially they love each other to their core. Jazzer and Tracy\u2019s first attempt at a wedding went disastrously wrong.<\/p>\n

What about attempt number two?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Susie:<\/strong> It doesn\u2019t go smoothly, either! I don\u2019t think anything\u2019s going to go smoothly for them. And I love that. I\u2019d hate it for it to go smoothly, because the comedy and the joy come from that.<\/p>\n
