The soap is back from its summer hiatus next week. <\/p>
The BBC has confirmed that Doctors will return to TV screens from Monday 4th September 2023 \u2013 after more than two months off air.<\/p>\n
The daytime soap will once again air new episodes in its regular 1:45pm slot on Mondays to Thursdays, with a brief synopsis for the first episode teasing a nasty surprise for Zara (Elisabeth Dermot Walsh<\/span>).<\/p>\n \u201cDaniel has a nasty surprise for Zara, and Claudia learns more about Bear,\u201d it reads. \u201cMeanwhile, Rosie tries to make amends.\u201d<\/p> Doctors traditionally takes a hiatus during the summer and the most recent episode \u2013 titled Do Not Resuscitate \u2013 aired on Thursday 22nd June.<\/p>\n Monday\u2019s first episode back is called Kiss and it will be followed by instalments titled Out in the Cold, Henry and Identity Crisis respectively throughout the rest of next week.<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong><\/p>\n Further synopses tease that the first week back will see Al (Ian Midlane) and Scarlett (Kia Pegg) having to cope with a very angry patient before \u201cThe Mill\u2019s staff try to deal with the shocking events of the previous night\u201d during Wednesday\u2019s episode.<\/p>\n As well as the usual summer hiatus, the long-running series took a brief unplanned break<\/a> earlier in the year when several episodes were pulled from the schedules in February.<\/p>\n The episodes \u2013 which featured an explosion at a medical conference and its aftermath \u2013 were removed at the last minute out of sensitivity following devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.<\/p> \n
