Where could we be seeing the soap star next? <\/p>

Danielle Harold may no longer be starring as Lola Pearce-Brown in EastEnders<\/a>, but it won\u2019t be the last we see of her on our screens.<\/p>\n

The actress took home the award at this year\u2019s National Television Awards<\/a> for Serial Drama Performance, winning over nominees including Coronation Street\u2019s Charlotte Jordan, Emmerdale\u2019s Dominic Brunt and Coronation Street\u2019s Maureen Lipman.<\/p>\n

Her final performances as Lola wowed fans after she tackled the emotional storyline of\u00a0discovering that she had a terminal brain tumour<\/a> and eventually passing away<\/a>.<\/p>

But on her exit from the soap, it looks as though Harold is ready to tackle something else in the drama sphere.<\/p>\n

Talking to RadioTimes.com<\/strong> and other press at this year\u2019s NTAs, Harold said of her life post-Walford: \u201cI wish I\u2019d have gone to an island and relaxed. Straight back into auditioning so I can\u2019t wait to see what\u2019s next!\u201d<\/p>\n

She said: \u201cI would love to do a series with a beginning, middle and an end to the story. Because with EastEnders as a soap, you\u2019re constantly thinking\u2026 so it\u2019d be lovely to do something with a beginning, middle and an end.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked whether she\u2019d ever consider venturing into the world of reality TV now that she\u2019s done with EastEnders, Harold said: \u201cI don\u2019t know really. That\u2019s what\u2019s exciting about leaving a soap when you\u2019ve been in it for such a long time, it\u2019s like the world changes, the industry changes so much \u2013 I\u2019m really excited to see what\u2019s next.\u201d<\/p>\n

On winning her award this evening, Harold said:\u00a0\u201cI can\u2019t tell you how much this means to me, it means so much.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harold had previously revealed that she struggled to power through the script for the episode in which Lola dies, saying that it was \u201cthe hardest thing to read<\/a>\u201d but that it was also \u201cthe most beautiful episode of EastEnders I\u2019ve ever read\u201d.<\/p>\n

Harold said that scene in which the character dies is \u201cdefinitely the most difficult thing I\u2019ve ever filmed in my life\u201d, explaining: \u201cObviously, we haven\u2019t experienced it and so, just to put yourself in that mindset, it was really difficult, and slow your body down and everything. I thought that would be the easy part.\u201d<\/p>\n
