The plot of Netflix\u2019s Burning Body<\/a> sounds like a work of fiction, but it\u2019s based on a harrowing real-life case that grabbed the attention of the press and public in Spain, where the events unfolded, and beyond.<\/p>\n

Burning Body true story<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Three Barcelona-based police officers were involved in a love triangle that ended in tragedy when one of the individuals was murdered.<\/p>\n

In May 2017, Pedro Rodr\u00edguez\u2019s body was discovered inside the trunk of a car at the Foix reservoir, a natural park spanning over 7,800 acres.<\/span><\/p>\n

The vehicle had been set alight with Rodr\u00edguez inside.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Before his death, Rodr\u00edguez<\/span> had been in a relationship with his colleague Rosa Peral. They began dating in 2016 and moved in together that same year \u2013 but there was a shock in store for Rodr\u00edguez.<\/span><\/p>\n
