The series is coming soon to Amazon Freevee. <\/p>
As fans eagerly await the return of Neighbours<\/a>, it seems we have a lot to look forward to when it lands on Amazon Freevee<\/a>.<\/p>\n In fact, according to Alan Fletcher, who plays Karl Kennedy, the rebooted series will contain some of the best ever scripts from the history of the Australian soap.<\/p>\n Speaking exclusively to RadioTimes.com<\/a>, Fletcher and on-screen wife Jackie Woodburne (who plays Susan Kennedy) opened up on what\u2019s coming up.<\/p>\n When asked where Karl and Susan are after the two year time jump, Fletcher confirmed: \u201cWe\u2019re still at No.28, but a lot has happened around us.\u201d<\/p>\n Woodburne added: \u201cThey\u2019re reeling from everything going on\u2026\u201d<\/p> Fletcher continued: \u201cI actually wrote to our head writer from the UK the other day and I said, \u2018I\u2019ve just read the best script I\u2019ve ever read in 28 years\u2019.<\/p>\n \u201cThe way in which they\u2019ve constructed the return of Neighbours and the way they\u2019ve constructed what happened to all the characters and why is some of the best stuff I\u2019ve ever seen.\u201d<\/p>\n Woodburne agreed, adding: \u201cWhen we learned what happened in those two years, it\u2019s so complex but so beautifully dovetailed into every character\u2019s story. It really is exquisite.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cSuddenly it all makes sense!\u201d Fletcher laughed.<\/p>\n As for details, the iconic soap pairing were tight-lipped, but did tease a few upcoming storylines.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve got a few separate storylines coming up,\u201d Fletcher explained, as Woodburne added: \u201cThere\u2019s an interesting storyline coming up later in the year \u2013 which we can\u2019t talk about \u2013 which will give us a big burst of comedy.\u201d<\/p>\n One thing we do know is that Holly Hoyland (Lucinda Armstrong-Hall<\/a>) is back and living in the Kennedy household \u2013 that sounds like trouble!<\/p>\n \u201cShe\u2019s always been present in the show in some way, and she\u2019s very much Izzy\u2019s daughter, so there\u2019s going to be great stories out of that\u2026\u201d Fletcher teased.<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong><\/p>\n Neighbours returns on Amazon Freevee on 18th September 2023.
