Following the first episode of the BBC\u2019s new edge-of-your-seat thriller Vigil<\/a>, watch stars Suranne Jones and Shaun Evans and writer Tom Edge discuss the show at an exclusive panel for BFI & Radio Times TV Festival.<\/p>\n

Edith Bowman hosts as the stars and writer break down how the drama came together, filming and the challenges they faced on the ambitious production.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the Q&A, which is now available on the BFI\u2019s YouTube page<\/a>, Jones characterises Vigil as a \u201cboys-y thriller\u201d with two female leads.<\/p>\n

\u201cA backstory of a relationship, that\u2019s quite a tricky thing to fully realise, especially on its own, but [in later episodes]\u2026 it becomes full,\u2019 she says. \u201cSo I think that, you know, it\u2019s a full show, as in it\u2019s a boys-y kind of thriller, but with two female leads that are part of it \u2013 it has a romantic story. And it has that element of the thrills that come through to the last episode, [which] are amazing. And quite shocking. So it\u2019s got it. It\u2019s a really bold task.\u201d<\/p>\n
