A vengeful Paul is not one to be messed with. <\/p>

As Neighbours fans know all too well, Paul Robinson (played by Stefan Dennis) is not one to be messed with.<\/p>\n

The villain has a good reason to be on the warpath, considering he\u2019s lost arguably the love of his life, Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou), to Toadie Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney).<\/p>\n

According to one of the longest-running Neighbours<\/a> stars, Jackie Woodburne (who plays Susan Kennedy), Paul could explode at any time.<\/p>\n

Speaking exclusively to RadioTimes.com<\/a> about the epic episode 1 twist, Woodburne said: \u201cI\u2019ve learned over many years that when you get a story that makes you go, \u2018Oh, what?\u2019, it invariably turns out to be a fabulous story that the fans love and viewers love. So when I heard it, I thought it\u2019s great, it\u2019s gold.\u201d<\/p>

Alan Fletcher, who plays Karl Kennedy, added: \u201cI remember I was in a meeting when they announced it to me. I was in the UK on Zoom and I let out an involuntary, \u201cWhat?!\u201d It was extraordinary.\u201d<\/p>\n

Woodburne continued: \u201cI think everyone did. I think the biggest \u201cwhat!\u201d came from Rebekah!<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s unexpected, and the dynamic between those two is going to be incredible. Of course, then, what\u2019s happening to Paul Robinson? He\u2019s always an unexploded bomb. So that gives him so much freedom for so many stories now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, it seems Karl and Susan will be fully supportive of Toadie and Terese\u2019s surprise romance.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen we learn what\u2019s happened in those two years, it\u2019s so complex but so beautifully dovetailed into every character and backstory,\u201d Woodburne shared.<\/p>\n

Fletcher added: \u201cIt\u2019s brilliant for us because our affection for Toadie runs very deep \u2013 he\u2019s like a son. So, for Karl and Susan, the most important thing is that Toadie is happy. So we support him and Terese wholeheartedly. Their love is so strong.\u201d<\/p>\n

Woodburne added: \u201cIt\u2019s so tight, isn\u2019t it? I think it would take a lot to break them up at this point\u2026 but it\u2019s Neighbours, so who knows?\u201d<\/p>\n
