Fans are almost definitely still reeling from the Neighbours<\/a>\u2018 epic twist which saw Terese Willis (played by Rebekah Elmaloglou) and Toadie Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney) getting married.<\/p>\n

And while the initial shock of seeing two people who were married\/engaged to another when the original series ended on Channel 5<\/a> is still settling in, according to the actors, you better get used to it.<\/p>\n

When speaking to RadioTimes.com<\/a> about the upcoming storyline, Elmaloglou and Moloney explained that they are expecting fans to be a little shocked at first \u2013 but the romance will settle in for them soon.<\/p>\n

\u201c[There] may be a little bit of hate mail towards it,\u201d joked Moloney, when asked how they think fans will react.<\/p>

Elmaloglou added: \u201cI don\u2019t think it will go down too well at first. I had a dream last night that I was confronted with a whole load of fans of the show who were really upset\u2026<\/p>\n

\u201cI think they\u2019re gonna be really shocked at first, but we\u2019ve worked quite hard at making it real and authentic. These two people are intrinsically in love with each other. We\u2019ve worked really hard at it.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe feedback we\u2019ve got from the cast and crew so far is that it\u2019s actually cool. To be quite honest \u2013 we have no idea what\u2019s ahead \u2013 but I feel like that it\u2019s going to be longer than expected because we\u2019re doing such a good job!\u201d<\/p>\n

Moloney joked: \u201cHey! That\u2019s good, I like working with you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Speaking about moving on to a new chapter for Terese, Elmaloglou continued: \u201cI needed the challenge. I love working with Stefan, but we were like an old married couple \u2013 10 years [together]!<\/p>\n

\u201cI was quite excited at the thought of working with another actor so closely and bringing in the kids, and having that family dynamic. It\u2019s working really well and we have a lot of laughs.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for what the future holds for Terese and Toadie, only time will tell; we\u2019d be surprised if Paul didn\u2019t get involved somewhere down the line!<\/p>\n
