Popular Strictly Come Dancing<\/a> professional Nadiya Bychkova has denied claims about why she didn\u2019t get a celebrity partner for the new season of the ballroom extravaganza.<\/p>\n A report in Mail Online<\/a> last week quoted a BBC insider as saying there was \u201czero chemistry\u201d between Nadiya and the men in this year\u2019s line-up \u2013 but the Ukranian dancer has said these comments are wide of the mark.<\/p>\n Speaking to the Daily Mail<\/a>, she clarified: \u201cIt wasn\u2019t the case that there was no chemistry between me and the dancers.<\/p> \u201cIt\u2019s just, obviously, the bosses\u2019 decision. Unfortunately, this year it was me who wasn\u2019t picked.\u201d<\/p>\n Nadiya first joined the Strictly cast for season 15 back in 2017 and has been paired with the likes of Lee Ryan, David James and Dan Walker during her time on the show.<\/p>\n She was previously partnerless in season 18, while last year she was paired with Bros star Matt Goss \u2013 making it to week 4 of the season before being eliminated.<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong><\/p>\n Her best season of the show came with Walker, with the pair finishing fifth in season 19. And the presenter and journalist said he was \u201cgutted\u201d to learn that Nadiya would be without a celebrity partner this year.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m sure she\u2019s still looking forward to being part of the biggest show in TV but it feels a bit like putting\u00a0Messi<\/span> on the bench for the World Cup final,\u201d he wrote on Twitter (recently rebranded as X).<\/p>\n He added that \u201cshe is so talented\u201d and claimed she was \u201cthe best teacher anyone could hope for\u201d.<\/p>\n Looking forward to the new series of Strictly \ud83e\udea9\n
