The popular segment will return for the 20th run \u2013\u00a0and applications are now open to be the presenting duo’s mini versions. <\/p>

Next year\u2019s 20th season of Ant & Dec\u2019s Saturday Night Takeaway is set to be the final run of the show before an indefinite hiatus<\/a> \u2013 and ITV has already begun teasing details about what it promises will be \u201ca massive celebration from start to finish\u201d.<\/p>\n

The broadcaster has announced that the duo are set to bring back Little Ant & Dec for the new run, six seasons after mini versions of the presenting pair last featured on the show.<\/p>\n

And the search has now begun for new youngsters to take on the roles, with ITV saying that it is looking for \u201ctwo Geordie lads between 5-7 who are cheeky little chappies\u201d.<\/p>\n

Applications are open from now until 1st October on the ITV website<\/a>, with applicants encouraged to complete an entry form with as much detail as possible and submit a video showcasing their personality.<\/p>\n

Ant & Dec themselves announced the news in a video, with Dec saying: \u201cAs you know the next series of Saturday Night Takeaway is our 20th and we\u2019re working around the clock to make it bigger and better than ever.\u201d<\/p>

Ant continued: \u201cNow, the breaking news is\u2026 we\u2019re bringing back Little Ant & Dec!\u201d<\/p>\n

Dec then went on to say that there is \u201ca little bit of a problem\u201d with the news \u2013 that the old Little Ant & Dec are not little anymore and that they would need new kids to rise to the task.<\/p>\n

And they both highlighted that it was of paramount importance for the applicants to be cheeky, with Dec saying: \u201cThe cheekier the better!\u201d<\/p>\n

The original Little Ant & Dec \u2013 James Pallister and Dylan McKenna-Redshaw \u2013 were first introduced in the show\u2019s second season back in 2003 and featured on the series until the sixth run three years later.<\/p>\n

The segment was then revived in 2013 from the 10th season\u00a0onwards with Neil Overend and Haydn Reid this time taking on the roles until they departed the show at the end of season 14 in 2017.<\/p>\n
