Everybody stay calm! The Office US is reportedly set for reboot after the writers\u2019 strikes in Hollywood.<\/p>\n
On Sunday 24th September, the Writers Guild of America (WGA) announced it had reached a tentative deal<\/a> with the Alliance of Motion Pictures and Television Producers after more than four months of striking. Once the deal is voted on by the Guild\u2019s members and board, the strike can officially end.<\/p>\n Amongst the excitement is the news that the iconic series The Office<\/a> could be making a return to TV screens sooner than anyone thought.<\/p>\n In an article for Puck News<\/a>, Matthew Belloni and Jonathan Handel claimed that Greg Daniels, The Office US\u2019s creator, was looking to reboot the series.<\/p> \u201cGreg Daniels is set to do a reboot of The Office, for instance,\u201d they wrote. \u201cDisney\u2019s Dana Walden will finally be able to announce the return of her BFF Ryan Murphy from Netflix. A ton of high-profile movie scripts will come in. The industry will chug back to normal.\u201d<\/p>\n From 2005 to 2013, The Office US, was a remake of the original UK sitcom<\/a>, aired for nine seasons. In 2022, he told Collider<\/a>: \u201cI can\u2019t tell whether fans would want more of it, and when I say more of it, I don\u2019t think it would be the same characters.<\/p>\n \u201cI think it would just be sort of like an extension of the universe\u2026 I don\u2019t know if that would be something people would want or not, it\u2019s hard to tell.\u201d<\/p> \n
