Gary Lineker has responded to the BBC\u2019s new social media guidance, which seeks to strike the balance between \u201cfreedom of expression and impartiality\u201d.<\/p>\n

Lineker retweeted the BBC article announcing the news, writing on Twitter<\/a> (which has recently rebranded as X) \u201cAll very sensible\u201d with a thumbs-up emoji.<\/p>\n

The new guidance \u201cfocuses on everyone working for the BBC respecting \u2018high standards of civility in public discourse\u2019 and not bringing the organisation into disrepute\u201d, according to the release.<\/p>\n
