Ghosts co-creator Laurence Rickard has said that the writing troupe behind the hit BBC sitcom are looking into \u201cvarious\u201d possibilities for future collaborations.<\/p>\n

The celebrated team \u2013 comprised of Rickard himself, Mathew Baynton, Simon Farnaby, Martha Howe-Douglas, Jim Howick and Ben Willbond \u2013 first came together to work on CBBC\u2019s Horrible Histories in 2008.<\/p>\n

The show became a breakout hit, attracting fans of all ages, which encouraged the creatives to stick together on follow-up projects such as Shakespeare spoof Bill and Sky sitcom Yonderland.<\/p>\n

Following the enormous success of Ghosts<\/a>, fans will be hoping that further collaborations are on the table and Rickard has told RadioTimes.com<\/a> that they are certainly exploring options.<\/p>

\u201cThere\u2019s various things that we\u2019re looking at and working on,\u201d he explained. \u201cThe first of them was [that] we started talking about this book [Ghosts: The Button House Archives] from series two onwards.\u201d<\/p>\n

The companion book is written by the six creators and presents fans with in-universe records, cuttings and artefacts that offer a window into the lives of the ghosts before they met their untimely fates.<\/p>\n

Rickard continued: \u201cWe really wanted to write it all ourselves, use it as a way to cover that material that we couldn\u2019t fit in the show and things like that.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe wanted to do it properly and that was going to take time that we didn\u2019t have [until Ghosts ended]. And there were a number of other things which sort of fell into that same category.\u201d<\/p>\n

Of course, the creatives won\u2019t be doing everything together in their post-Ghosts career, with Rickard saying their ambition is to enjoy a healthy mix of group work and individual pursuits.<\/p>\n
