With David Tennant<\/a> returning to Doctor Who<\/a> and Ncuti Gatwa<\/a> joining the club, it\u2019s clear all of the past Doctors have a special bond \u2013 something that Peter Capaldi<\/a> is clearly still incredibly grateful for.<\/p>\n

During a chat with RadioTimes.com<\/a> about season 2 of Prime Video\u2019s The Devil\u2019s Hour<\/a>, which has been filming over the past year, Capaldi also reflected on his time as the Twelfth Doctor and his friendship with Gatwa, and fellow past Doctors Tennant and Matt Smith.<\/p>\n

He told us: \u201cI love Doctor Who and I look forward to watching the 60th and Ncuti, I think, is amazing. I\u2019m so excited to see what he does.\u201d<\/p>\n

Capaldi added of meeting Gatwa for the first time: \u201cWe had such a laugh because we met. We\u2019d gone to the Scottish BAFTAs and I met his mum as well, which was lovely. We were just talking \u2013 it\u2019s like what David and Matt did with me.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are only a few, well 14 people, who have done this and there are specific challenges to it and it\u2019s a specific world and there\u2019s only 14 people who have been at the heart of that. It\u2019s interesting to hear what they have to say about it.<\/p>\n

\u201cDavid and Matt were very good at helping me with advice and chat and were always there if I wanted to talk to them and stuff. Ncuti was very open to hearing what it was like. I just think he\u2019ll be great.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019d met at the Scottish BAFTAs and we exchanged texts and I was on the train home and I was texting him and he was texting me and then we found out we were on the same train! So then he joined us, that was great.\u201d<\/p>\n

Unlike Tennant and Smith, Capaldi doesn\u2019t see himself returning to Doctor Who, previously telling RadioTimes.com<\/strong> that he\u2019s \u201cdone his time\u201d. But he went on to say: \u201cI like the idea that [my] Doctor is still out there somewhere, that they all are.\u201d<\/p>

More recently, he\u2019s played roles like the mysterious Gideon in The Devil\u2019s Hour, which also stars Jessica Raine and follows a woman named Lucy who wakes up at 3:33am every morning without explanation and whose house appears to be haunted. But it\u2019s soon revealed there\u2019s much more going on beneath the surface.<\/p>\n

Capaldi previously told RadioTimes.com<\/strong> of his enigmatic character: \u201cIn some ways, he\u2019s a criminal. He\u2019s a murderer and a threat to society. So he\u2019s a very, very smart and elusive villain that the police are pursuing (and never quite managing to catch). Until they do.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added that, once Gideon is caught, things take a drastic turn. \u201cHe then reveals that he\u2019s not quite what we think he is,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Prime Video<\/a> hasn\u2019t revealed a release date just yet for The Devil\u2019s Hour season 2, but we do know it\u2019s in production.<\/p>\n
