The BBC Breakfast host confirmed the Strictly Come Dancing 2021 start date and revealed he’d be meeting his professional partner in just a few days. <\/p>

While the summer may be over, it means that Strictly Come Dancing 2021<\/a> is just around the corner, and judging by contestant Dan Walker<\/a>\u2018s recent comments, we don\u2019t have much longer to wait.<\/p>\n

The broadcaster, who joined the Strictly Come Dancing 2021 line-up<\/a> last month, revealed on BBC Breakfast this morning that the series is set to begin on Saturday 18th September.<\/p>\n

Whilst putting the date of co-anchor Louise Minchin\u2019s BBC Breakfast departure into his phone calendar, Walker said: \u201cI was just going to put your date in the diary.<\/p>\n

\u201cI meet and greet the partner in a couple of days time, and actually the first show is on the 18th and then the live shows start on the 25th.\u201d<\/p>

Strictly Come Dancing is yet to officially announce the series 19 start date and the BBC has declined to comment on Walker\u2019s comments.<\/p>\n

The show has typically launched towards the beginning of September, however last year, Strictly Come Dancing\u2019s first episode was delayed to mid-October due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n

Walker will be taking to the Strictly dance floor alongside the likes of comedian Robert Webb<\/a>, Olympic gold medallist Adam Peaty<\/a>, Loose Women\u2019s Judi Love<\/a> and TV presenter AJ Odudu<\/a> this year.<\/p>\n

Other celebrities set to make their Strictly debut include Gordon Ramsay\u2019s daughter Tilly Ramsay<\/a>, The Crown\u2019s Greg Wise<\/a>, EastEnders star Nina Wadia<\/a> and former Bake Off contestant John Whaite<\/a>, who\u2019ll be competing in the show\u2019s very first all-male partnership.<\/p>\n
