The first season of The Good Ship Murder<\/a> might only be getting underway today \u2013 but stars Catherine Tyldesley and Shayne Ward are already dreaming up their ideal co-stars for a possible second run.<\/p>\n The former Coronation Street<\/a> duo play First Officer Kate Woods and copper-turned-cabaret singer Jack Grayling respectively in the light-hearted mystery drama, which follows the pair as they solve various crimes on board an ocean liner.<\/p>\n And speaking to RadioTimes.com<\/a> and other press ahead of the debut episode, Tyldesley and Ward said that the sunny shooting locations could well convince some big names to sign up.<\/p> \u201cI\u2019ve already got a lot of my friends who are like, \u2018Oh my God, I can\u2019t believe you went filming in Malta on a cruise ship! Is there a second series? I need to get on to my agent!’\u201d said Tyldesley.<\/p>\n \u201cLike, a lot of actors all want to do Death in Paradise<\/a> because of the location. And I\u2019ve already got people asking me if we\u2019re going again.\u201d<\/p>\n And asked who her dream co-stars might be, she added: \u201cIt would be sacrilegious to not give Jane McDonald some kind of cameo \u2013 [even] walking past in the background, she\u2019s got to get in there at some point.\u201d<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong><\/p>\n Ward then revealed that he had actually previously sung with McDonald on a Channel 5 Christmas special, with the pair performing a rendition of Baby, It\u2019s Cold Outside before he sang A Different Corner by George Michael.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd it was great,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019ve already got a lovely rapport with her. So, I mean, she has to come onto the ship and do something. There\u2019s no two ways about it.\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Ward had another idea for someone who could hop on board for a guest role in the future: Doctor Who<\/a> star David Tennant.<\/p>\n \u201c[It would be] an absolute dream to even be in a scene with someone like David Tennant,\u201d he said. \u201cHe can steal the scene a thousand times over, I\u2019d just be grateful.\u201d<\/p> \n
