Thursday night threw up yet another dramatic twist in Wales\u2019 topsy-turvy Euro 2024 qualification campaign.<\/p>\n
Rob Page\u2019s side were not in action in Group D, hammering Gibraltar 4-0 in a friendly, but shock defeats for Armenia and Croatia have shaken things up in the group ahead of Sunday\u2019s game in Cardiff.<\/p>\n
Wales are only three points from second place Croatia but now know that, effectively, they\u2019ll have to beat the visitors this weekend and then hope they slip up in the final qualifiers in November.<\/p>\n
Their dreams of making it to next summer\u2019s tournament through automatic qualification are still alive but given the Croats are arguably the best side in Group D, it\u2019s far from ideal to be competing with them for the final place.<\/p>\n
Next month, things will be out of their hands but on Sunday, they have the chance to take a significant step toward Germany 2024, which should make for quite the atmosphere at the Cardiff City Stadium.<\/p>\n
