Anna Maxwell Martin and Mathew Baynton join Emma Myers and Zain Iqbal in the cast of the upcoming BBC Three adaptation. <\/p>

Line of Duty\u2019s Anna Maxwell Martin and Ghosts<\/a> star Mathew Baynton have been announced as new cast members for the upcoming BBC Three crime drama A Good Girl\u2019s Guide to Murder.<\/p>\n

Martin and Baynton join previously announced stars Emma Myers (Wednesday<\/a>) and Zain Iqbal (All Crazy Random) in the cast for the series, while other additions include Gary Beadle (Rye Lane), Henry Ashton (My Lady Jane) and India Lillie Davies (Call the Midwife<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The show is based on a successful series of mystery novels by Holly Jackson<\/a> and follows events five years after schoolgirl Andie Bell (Davies) was seemingly murdered by her boyfriend Sal Singh.<\/p>\n

It picks up as \u201csmart and single-minded\u201d Pip Fitz-Amobi (Myers) goes about trying to prove that Sal wasn\u2019t actually the guilty party, even though the rest of her town seems convinced that he was the killer.<\/p>

Filming has already completed on the project, and speaking as her casting was announced, Martin said she \u201ccan\u2019t wait\u201d for viewers to watch the series.<\/p>\n

\u201cI so enjoyed being part of A Good Girl\u2019s Guide to Murder with a really lovely cast, crew and creatives,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cCan\u2019t wait for all the people who love Holly\u2019s book to see it brought to their screens.\u201d<\/p>\n

Martin will star as Pip\u2019s mother Leanne, while Beadle plays her father Victor, and Jackson said she was \u201cbeyond thrilled\u201d to announce their involvement as well as Baynton\u2019s role as Elliot Ward \u2013 the father of Pip\u2019s best friend Cara.<\/p>\n

\u201cNever in my wildest dreams did I think we\u2019d have such an incredible cast, and yet, at the same time, it always had to be them, because they are perfect for these characters,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
