Arthur Darvill is up for another run at Rory. <\/p>
After more than a decade, Arthur Darvill has said he\u2019d be up for returning to Doctor Who<\/a>.<\/p>\n The actor starred as Rory Williams alongside Matt Smith\u2019s Eleventh Doctor and Karen Gillan<\/a>\u2018s Amy Pond, with the trio staying until season 7.<\/p>\n Amy and Rory exited the show in heartbreaking circumstances<\/a>, falling victim to the Weeping Angels, but it didn\u2019t rule out a return for the pair of them.<\/p>\n Speaking exclusively to RadioTimes.com<\/a>, Darvill explained: \u201cThe way I feel about it is, yes I would [return], but it would have to be the right thing and I think enough time would have to have passed.<\/p>\n \u201cWe used to get asked about it straight away, like we\u2019d just left and gone on to other things, so the stock answer then was, \u2018Well, no. No, I\u2019ve been doing it for three years!\u2019<\/p>\n \u201cBut now I absolutely wouldn\u2019t say no to it. My fear with it before was I think the storyline we had was so perfect and so rounded that I just wouldn\u2019t want anything to take away from that.<\/p>\n \u201cNow we\u2019re a bit older, I think at some point, even if it\u2019s just a one-off, it\u2019d be really interesting to do something more with it. Never say never!<\/p> \u201cI think at the time we were all worried we\u2019d be stuck in it forever, like it would be the only thing we\u2019d ever done, which obviously since then it hasn\u2019t been \u2013 we\u2019ve all kind of gone on and done loads of other things. And so that has a slightly different meaning going back now.<\/p>\n \u201cIt would be a lovely thing. But also, if that never happens, that\u2019s fine as well. I\u2019m really, really proud of the story we told and the way it was told.\u201d<\/p>\n Darvill, Gillan and Smith had an incredible friendship on the show, with the three of them still keeping in close contact.<\/p>\n \u201cMyself and Matt knew each other beforehand, so already it was like going to work with friends, and we were just all together for such a long time.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd, for me anyway, because it was so early in my career and I felt like I was learning on the job, it was just really formative,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cWe were so busy and no one else could really understand the experience we were having, and that was really bonding for all of us.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve all just remained such close friends from it, which is an amazing thing. We still all go on holiday together and see each other and do things together, and I really love that.\u201d<\/p>\n Fezzes, Stetsons, top hats, the Eleventh Doctor has many looks. And we were very nice to everyone who came in, but I think they must have thought, \u2018God, what\u2019s going on with these people? They\u2019re really hyperactive.\u2019<\/p>\n \u201cBut that was part of our coping mechanism to get through it!
