It was recently announced filming had begun for Ncuti Gatwa’s second season of Doctor Who. <\/p>

Writing duo Kate Herron and Briony Redman will be joining forces to co-write an upcoming episode of Doctor Who<\/a> featuring Ncuti Gatwa<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The pair have a number of credits to their names, with Herron serving as the executive producer and director of Loki<\/a> season 1, as well as director of Netflix<\/a>\u2018s Sex Education<\/a>. Redman is a BAFTA award winning writer whose work includes Post Brec and Forget-Me-Not.<\/p>\n

This won\u2019t be the first time Herron and Redman have worked together, as they have previously collaborated on the likes of Miss Universe and The Storkening.<\/p>\n

Speaking about writing an episode of Doctor Who, Kate Herron said: \u201cClearly I can\u2019t get enough of time travel. It is an absolute honour to write for Russell and Ncuti. We had so much fun and can\u2019t wait for you all to see it.\u201d<\/p>

Briony Redman echoed Herron\u2019s words and said: \u201cAs a big fan of Doctor Who and Russell T Davies, it\u2019s been a dream to write on this show.\u201d<\/p>\n

This news comes after Doctor Who announced it had begun filming for Ncuti Gatwa\u2019s second season<\/a> in Cardiff.<\/p>\n

Russell T Davies<\/a>, who recently returned as Doctor Who show runner, said of the news: \u201cThis is when I absolutely love my job. Working with the stellar talents of Kate and Briony makes my whole world bigger and brighter, and a lot more fun.<\/p>\n
