The actress, who has played Detective Hailey Upton Halstead since season 4, will wave goodbye to the cop procedural after the upcoming eleventh season, <\/span>according to <\/span>Variety<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n It is unclear how many episodes Spiridakos will feature in in the upcoming season, which has been delayed as a result of the <\/span>recently-ended WGA<\/span> and <\/span>ongoing SAG-AFTRA Hollywood strikes.<\/span><\/p>\n The star is yet to speak out publicly about her exit from the series.<\/p> Her departure comes after her former Chicago PD co-star Jesse Lee Soffer \u2013<\/span> who played Detective Jay Halstead, Hailey\u2019s husband \u2013<\/span> bid farewell to the series back in October 2022, with his character resigning from the force to return to the army.<\/span><\/p>\n Talking about his decision to leave, Soffer told <\/span>Variety<\/span><\/a> that \u201cthere\u2019s no good answer,\u201d though he \u201cwas ready for more\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIt was one of the toughest decisions I\u2019ve ever had to make in my life,\u201d he explained, adding: \u201cLet\u2019s be honest: I love the fans of our show so much, and I love my fans.
