Mrs Hall is gearing up for dinner with Gerald! <\/p>
It seems things are looking up for Mrs Hall and Gerald in the next episode of All Creatures Great and Small<\/a>.<\/p>\n In an exclusive clip shared with RadioTimes.com<\/a>, Mrs Hall<\/a> (Anna Madeley) is getting ready for a date with Gerald \u2013 but Helen (Rachel Shenton) continues to tease her about the budding romance.<\/p>\n In the clip, Mrs Hall is busy sorting the kitchen when Helen says her hair looks nice, before Mrs Hall mentions she is off to see Gerald for dinner.<\/p>\n \u201cHas he invited you to his house before?,\u201d asks Helen with a smirk, to which Mrs Hall responds: \u201cNot properly. Why are you smiling like that? It\u2019s just tea, nothing more. I don\u2019t think.\u201d<\/p> It seems Gerald and Mrs Hall\u2019s relationship is going well, with the cook having prepared a trifle to take round.<\/p>\n You can watch the exclusive clip above.<\/p>\n The new episode of All Creatures Great and Small, titled Papers, airs tomorrow (Thursday 2nd November), and with the war getting closer, the characters are facing dilemmas.<\/p>\n As per the synopsis: \u201cThe War is getting closer, James is about to embark on a new journey. He desperately wants things in order and Carmody trained up to support Siegfried.<\/p>\n \u201cJames is frustrated at Carmody\u2019s inability to drive and keeps missing opportunities to spend precious time with Helen. His grand plans are derailed when an injured cat is brought into the practice. The vets have little hope for the cat, but he might be just what they all need.<\/p>\n \u201cCarmody and Pumphrey clash as he can\u2019t see her dogs the way she does. An unexpected offer might bring the two together and get Carmody ready to step into new responsibilities.<\/p>\n \u201cA dinner with Gerald leaves Mrs Hall with a dilemma but watching James and Helen brace for their future gives her a new perspective on her own.\u201d<\/p>\n Speaking to Channel 5 about what fans of the series can expect from Mrs Hall\u2019s relationship with Gerald, actress Anna Madeley said: \u201cI think it\u2019s not clear exactly what their relationship is, but that\u2019s fine. They\u2019re in a very happy place and they share values. I think after all the excitement of the previous Christmas, it\u2019s lovely that he\u2019s stayed and hasn\u2019t moved away, and especially at that time when everything is a little uncertain it\u2019s lovely to have a friend there who\u2019s stayed around.\u201d<\/p>\n So, will it be plain-sailing for the pair? Well, we\u2019ll just have to wait and see, but it does seem as though change is certainly afoot in other parts of the drama.<\/p>\n Last week\u2019s episode saw James (Nicholas Ralph) and Helen discussing future baby names, while the episodes so far have also welcomed new arrival Richard Carmody<\/a>, played by James Anthony-Rose (Slow Horses, Pennyworth).<\/p>\n We\u2019ll just have to keep watching to see what else continues in Skeldale House before the anticipated Christmas special that is set to air later this year.<\/p> \n
