The former tennis star achieved her best score of the season for her emotional Couple’s Choice routine. <\/p>
There was hardly a dry eye in the house after Annabel Croft<\/a> performed her Couple\u2019s Choice routine with Johannes Radebe on tonight\u2019s\u00a0Strictly Come Dancing<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n After an emotional VT which saw the former tennis star take Johannes to a bench in Richmond Park that she regularly used to sit on with her late husband Mel Coleman, the pair wowed viewers with a moving tribute.<\/p>\n Several people in the audience \u2013 including Annabel\u2019s children \u2013 were in tears following the routine, and the judges were equally moved by the performance.<\/p> Head Judge Shirley Ballas was the first to deliver her verdict and, after wiping away tears, she gave glowing comments, explaining: \u201cI didn\u2019t know your husband, but I feel like I do.\u201d<\/p>\n She called the performance \u201cgraceful\u201d, \u201ccharming\u201d and \u201cdivine.\u201d<\/p>\n Anton Du Beke described the routine as \u201cperfect\u201d, while Craig Revel Horwood called it \u201ca beautiful story, beautifully executed\u201d, while Motsi Mabuse labelled it her \u201cbest dance\u201d.<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong><\/p>\n Upstairs, Claudia Winkleman was also clearly moved by the performance, and Annabel told her that it had been \u201cdifficult not to keep bursting into tears\u201d while explaining that Johannes had been \u201can angel in my life\u201d.<\/p>\n In the end, the routine scored 35 points \u2013 an eight from Craig and nines from the other three judges \u2013 making it comfortably Annabel\u2019s best score so far in the series and putting her in a good position in the Strictly leaderboard<\/a>.<\/p>\n Earlier this week, she revealed how appearing in the Strictly line-up<\/span><\/a> had helped her following the sad death of Mel earlier in the year, explaining how it had given her a reason \u201cto get up in the morning\u201d.<\/a><\/p> \n
