Shetland\u2019s new lead detective Ruth Calder (Ashley Jensen) finds herself in hot water this week as her relationship with a suspect is exposed to the wider team.<\/p>\n
DI Calder made her debut last week \u2013 filling the shoes of retired DI Jimmy Perez (Douglas Henshall)<\/a> \u2013 and made it clear she\u2019s a private person who isn\u2019t looking to stick around her hometown any longer than is required.<\/p>\n She left Shetland at the age of 18 and went on to have a successful career in the Metropolitan Police, but the disappearance of a key witness brought her back \u2013 and their shocking death has made things much more complicated.<\/p>\n In this week\u2019s episode, Ruth\u2019s former flame Cal Ines (Jamie Sives) is questioned by Sandy (Steven Robertson) and lets slip that she spent the night with him in an awkward moment.
