The White Lotus creator, Mike White, has teased a \u201clonger, bigger, crazier\u201d season 3 of the hit comedy-drama series in a new interview<\/a>.<\/p>\n White told Entertainment Weekly he hopes to begin filming for the new season \u201cat the beginning of the year\u201d, dependent on the result of the SAG-AFTRA strike.<\/p>\n It has been widely reported<\/a> that season 3 of The White Lotus<\/a> will take place in Thailand, and while there is much mystery around the content of the season, White has teased he is \u201csuper excited\u201d about it.<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s going to be a supersized White Lotus,\u201d the creator told the publication.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s going to be longer, bigger, crazier. I don\u2019t know what people will think, but I am super excited, so at least for my own barometer, that\u2019s a good thing\u2026 I\u2019m super excited about the content of the season.\u201d<\/p>\n Production of the show had been put on hold due to the WGA strike, which has since been resolved following a tentative deal being reached<\/a>.<\/p>\n However, the SAG strike is ongoing, which means the cast cannot begin filming.<\/p> \u201cI\u2019m seriously finishing scripts,\u201d White said of season 3.<\/p>\n \u201cStill waiting to be able to cast. If the SAG strike isn\u2019t resolved soon, then yeah, we\u2019d have to push again, because the show has a new cast every season, so there\u2019s lots of parts to cast\u2026 I\u2019m more than eager to get going.\u201d<\/p>\n The show\u2019s creator previously hinted at what fans can expect from a third season.<\/p>\n\n
