Boat Story, the latest title from dynamic sibling duo Harry and Jack Williams, is an action-thriller that follows two ordinary people who find themselves in the possession of a haul of cocaine uncovered from a shipwrecked vessel. <\/span><\/p>\n

But their grand plan to sell their wares and split the cash stumbles when a gangster gets wind of what they\u2019re up to.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cPushed to the very edge, can they trust each other and get away with their lives and the money?\u201d asks the official synopsis.<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking to RadioTimes.com<\/a> and other press, star Paterson Joseph (Vigil<\/a>, Peep Show) said that he watched The Tourist<\/a>, another of the Williams brothers\u2019 productions, to get to grips with the show.<\/span><\/p>

\u201c<\/b>I needed to watch,\u201d he said. \u201cWe were doing episode 1 \u2013 and I hadn\u2019t seen The Tourist at that point \u2013 and I was thinking, \u2018What\u2019s the feel of this show? It\u2019s funny, but it\u2019s not funny. It\u2019s violent, but it\u2019s witty. What are they going for?\u2019<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time Jospeh has worked with Harry and Jack Williams. He also appeared in 2017\u2019s<\/a> Rellik, a crime drama told in reverse.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cRellik was pretty straightforward in many ways,\u201d he explained. \u201cIt was just a pretty straightforward, detective thriller. It was very dark, but it didn\u2019t have any of the confident, dark humour that you have in The Tourist and that you have in this.\u201d<\/p>\n

But\u00a0Joseph\u2019s co-star Daisy Haggard (Back to Life, Breeders) went on to say that while The Tourist \u201cfeels like a step in the same journey\u201d, the two shows are \u201cfundamentally quite different\u201d, adding: \u201cIt\u2019s the most experimental and expressive [Williams brothers\u2019] show, it\u2019s just quite an unusual show.\u201d<\/p>\n
