Kamala Khan\/Ms Marvel takes centre stage in the new film \u2013 but will she soon be teaming up with some fellow younger heroes? <\/p>

While Marvel has announced all manner of future projects \u2013 from Armor Wars to the addition of the X-Men<\/a> to the MCU<\/a> \u2013 one thing that has so far remained unconfirmed is a film uniting the Young Avengers.<\/p>\n

Several characters who form part of the popular comic book<\/a> team \u2013 including Cassie Lang, Kate Bishop, Elijah Bradley, Billy Maximoff, America Chavez, Riri Williams and Kid Loki \u2013 have already appeared in a variety of films and TV shows, leading many to believe that an eventual crossover is an inevitability.<\/p>\n

And, of course, one of the most prominent youngsters in the MCU right now is Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani), who made her debut in Disney Plus<\/a> series Ms Marvel, and is now making her big screen bow in The Marvels<\/a>.<\/p>\n

So, do the events of the new film move us any closer towards a Young Avengers team-up?<\/p>\n

Does The Marvels set up the Young Avengers?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

It does \u2013 at least in a sense<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

Towards the end of the film, after Kamala has teamed up with Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) and Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris), she pays a visit to another young hero: Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld).<\/p>\n

In a scene reminiscent of Nick Fury\u2019s discussion with Tony Stark at the end of the first Iron Man, Kamala informs her of a plan to put together a team of superhero kids \u2013 something which Kate initially balks at, since she is 23 years old and not fond of being referred to as a kid.<\/p>\n

But Kamala presses on anyway, mentioning that she is also aware of Ant-Man\u2019s daughter Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton), and suggesting that they all unite to form a team of their own.<\/p>\n

It certainly seems, therefore, that Marvel is gearing up for a full Young Avengers project \u2013 whether on the big or small screen \u2013 and we wouldn\u2019t be surprised to see an official announcement in the not-so-distant future.<\/p>\n
