The drama will debut on Channel 4 this month. <\/p>
Channel 4 has confirmed that upcoming drama The Couple Next Door<\/a> will kick off over two nights, airing on 27th and 28th November.<\/p>\n The first episode will air on Monday 27th at 9pm, with episode two following on Tuesday 28th at the slightly later time of 9:15pm.<\/p>\n The star-studded series features Poldark\u2019s Eleanor Tomlinson and\u00a0Harry Potter<\/a>\u2018s Alfred Enoch as Evie and Pete a couple who befriend another couple after moving into a new neighbourhood.<\/p> But their new friendship Danny and Becka \u2013 played by Outlander\u2019s Sam Heughan and The Secrets She Keeps star Jessica De Gouw respectively \u2013 becomes more complicated after an unexpected sexual entanglement.<\/p>\n A trailer for the series<\/a> was released earlier this week and also included Hugh Dennis as an extremely creepy character whose identity has so far been left rather mysterious.<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong><\/p>\n Heughan\u00a0previously teased<\/a>\u00a0the \u201cfantastic\u201d new series, saying: \u201cIt\u2019s called The Couple Next Door, based on a Dutch book and TV show about a couple that move to a new neighbourhood and meet their neighbours\u2026 who happen to be swingers! And everything that ensues there.\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Channel 4 has described the series as a \u201cdeliciously dark, psychological drama, exploring the claustrophobia of suburbia and the fallout of chasing your deepest desires\u201d, as well as an \u201caddictive, emotional roller coaster\u201d.<\/p>\n The Couple Next Door airs on Channel 4 in the UK, and on STARZ in the US in 2024.
