Children in Need returned tonight (Friday 17th November) with a jam-packed show<\/a> of sketches, performances and celebrity guests to raise funds for children and young people.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s event was even more exciting than ever, with a special Doctor Who scene<\/a> starring David Tennant \u2013 details of which remained under wraps ahead of the evening.<\/p>\n

In the sketch, which also featured Juice<\/a> star Mawaan Rizwan, we saw Tennant\u2019s Fourteenth Doctor arriving at the earliest stages of the Daleks\u2019 development.<\/p>\n

Julian Bleach also reprised his role of Davros, here seen as a younger man at a time before the accident that transformed him into the figure with which fans are more familiar.<\/p>\n

The light-hearted scene also revealed it was the Doctor who was inadvertently responsible for not only naming the Daleks, but also inventing their \u201cExterminate!\u201d catchphrase and gifting them their famous \u2018sink plunger\u2019 arm attachment.<\/p>\n
