Hogwarts Legacy is now available on all platforms following its most recent launch on Nintendo Switch. Anyone jumping into the magical world will quickly come across the Daedalian Key side quest and the many House Tokens that are rewarded for doing so.<\/span><\/p>\n

With so much to see in Hogwarts Legacy, there\u2019s a good chance you might need a Time-Turner. Between collecting <\/span>Demiguise statues<\/span><\/a>, completing<\/span> Merlin Trials<\/span><\/a> and solving<\/span> Herodiana Hall puzzles<\/span><\/a>, there\u2019s plenty to do even without the<\/span> lengthy main story<\/span><\/a> taken into account. And finding those 16 House Tokens is just a small part of it.<\/span><\/p>\n

By completing these though, you can walk away with a handy reward found within the House chest in your common room in addition to obtaining the Good Samaritan<\/span> trophy\/achievement<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Before that, you need to search high and low for their locations. So to take the hard work away, we\u2019ve rounded up exactly where to find the Daedalian Key puzzles as well as how to solve them. Then hey presto, you can continue your adventure. <\/span><\/p>\n

How to start Hogwarts Legacy Daedalian Keys and House Tokens quest<\/strong><\/h2>\n

You can start searching for House Tokens after talking to Nellie Oggspire in the Transfiguration Courtyard<\/strong>, who will explain Daedalian Keys to you. This will officially start the Daedalian Keys side quest, and the keys will now spawn across the map.<\/p>\n

This side quest will be available after the \u2018Welcome to Hogwarts\u2019 main quest, meaning you can start hunting for House Tokens quite early on in the game.<\/p>\n

However, the final House Token can\u2019t be unlocked until after \u2018The Caretaker\u2019s Lunar Lament\u2019 main quest (that\u2019s the one tied to Demiguise statues), so you\u2019ll have to advance quite far to fully complete this side quest.<\/p>

Once you find a Daedalian Key, you\u2019ll have to follow it to the locked House cabinet in the wall. Once there, you\u2019ll have to complete a little minigame in which the key will fly around the lock. You have to \u2018slap\u2019 the key into place once it lines up with the lock hole \u2013 you\u2019ll do that by pressing Square on PS5 or X on an Xbox controller. This minigame can really test your patience, however. You have been warned!<\/p>\n

A useful tip is to cast an Arresto Momentum spell on the chest prior to launching the minigame. This will slow down the key, making the puzzle that bit easier.<\/p>\n

Once complete, the House cabinet will open and you can collect a House Token. Collect all 16 House Tokens and you will be able to open the House chest in your common room, which will reward you with a Relic House Uniform (in your House colours of course!).<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll need to do a bit of lock-picking to access some Daedalian Keys, so you\u2019ll need to brush up on Alohomora<\/a> to access level 1 locks before you can complete this side quest!<\/p>\n

House Tokens don\u2019t show up automatically on the Hogwarts map, but luckily you can use Revelio to highlight the Daedalian Keys and House cabinets in blue. Daedalian Keys also leave a golden trail behind them, so don\u2019t panic if you lose one!<\/p>\n

All the Daedalian Keys are thankfully located in the castle. Here are the precise locations for each one:<\/p>\n

Astronomy Tower \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>At the top of the Astronomy Tower, as marked by the quest marker after talking to Nellie Oggspire.<\/p>\n

Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 In front of the rhino skeleton at the bottom of the stairs.<\/p>\n

Grand Staircase<\/strong> \u2013 Fast travel to the Grand Staircase, and then walk down the stairs until you find the Daedalian Key about halfway down.<\/p>\n

Bell Tower Courtyard<\/strong> \u2013 Fast travel to the Bell Tower Courtyard, then turn left and go up the first set of stairs. Go through the small door, up another flight of stairs and you should see the Daedalian Key.<\/p>\n

Great Hall<\/strong> \u2013 By the fireplace on the left-hand side as you enter the Great Hall. The cabinet will be up the stairs on the other side of the room.<\/p>\n

Quad Courtyard<\/strong> \u2013 At the arched entranceway to the Hogwarts area, up the stairs from the dragon fountain.<\/p>\n
