Ella will turn heads. <\/p>
Former Coronation Street<\/a> actress Paula Lane has joined the cast of Emmerdale<\/a>, playing compassionate and caring Ella Forster.<\/p>\n Paula starts filming this month and will be first seen on screen in January.<\/p>\n Ella will find herself out of a job when she lands in Emmerdale and sticks up for Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) who\u2019s attending a Veterinary Ball with Paddy (Dominic Brunt).<\/p>\n She strikes it lucky when she speaks to Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) who has an opportunity she can\u2019t turn down.<\/p>\n And it isn\u2019t long before Ella is turning heads in the village \u2013\u00a0but who will catch her eye?<\/p>\n Paula is best known for her role as Kylie Platt in fellow ITV soap, Coronation Street.<\/p>\n Speaking of her new role, Paula said:\u00a0\u201cI\u2019m so excited to be joining the cast of Emmerdale<\/span>. Everyone has been so welcoming and I can\u2019t wait to start a new chapter playing the role of Ella. I\u2019ve already heard there are big plans for her and I can\u2019t wait to see her navigate a new life in the village and hopefully make some friends!\u201d<\/p> Producer Kate Brooks added: \u201cElla is a complex and multi-layered character who comes to the village and certainly makes an impact.
