While Ahsoka season 2<\/a> is yet to be confirmed, it certainly doesn\u2019t stop fans and the team behind the Disney Plus Star Wars series ideating about what could come next.<\/p>\n The season premiered earlier this year and featured the late Ray Stevenson, who\u00a0died in May 2023 aged 58 years old<\/a>.<\/p>\n Stevenson played the role of Baylan Skoll<\/a>, and\u00a0was paid tribute to by the Ahsoka cast after the season finale and Stevenson\u2019s last scenes in the series aired.<\/p>\n Speaking about the possibilities to come in Ahsoka, series creator Dave Filoni spoke to Vanity Fair<\/a> about what the future could potentially hold for Stevenson\u2019s character, Baylan Skoll.<\/p>\n He said: \u201cObviously, there\u2019s a story there. We\u2019re in a wait-and-see pattern at this point.<\/p>\n \u201cBut I\u2019m glad the conversation is about Ray and how great he was\u2026. I used to have mini debates with him and say, \u2018Ray, you\u2019re the villain here.\u2019 And he\u2019d be like, \u2018I don\u2019t think so.\u2019 I was like, \u2018I know you don\u2019t think so, but you are. I love that you\u2019re playing it like you\u2019re not.\u2019 Which is exactly the way Baylan thinks.\u201d<\/p> Filoni continued, talking about the positive reception to Stevenson\u2019s character: \u201cI think he would\u2019ve been over the moon. The big regret here is that he didn\u2019t get to experience that.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m glad he was at Star Wars Celebration with us, that he got to see the trailer and get a taste of that from the fans. And they\u2019ve been nothing but wonderful about Ray and the character.\u201d<\/p>\n Stevenson\u2019s final scene in Ahsoka saw Baylan Skoll standing near statues of the Mortis Gods, making it clear that is what he has been searching for all season \u2013 a power beyond the Jedi and Sith.<\/p>\n The statues are of the Father, the Son, and the Daughter, the three Force gods introduced in Clone Wars.<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong><\/p>\n Speaking about that final shot of Stevenson, Filoni said: \u201cI know it\u2019s a very specific group of people that would even know what those statues are, but I thought it was an exciting image, and it does give you the shape of what Baylan is after.\u201d<\/p>\n Following Stevenson\u2019s death earlier this year, a tribute was also posted on the official\u00a0Star Wars website<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are heartbroken to hear of the passing of our dear friend Ray Stevenson.
